Artist's Comments
This is a mock-up of a Kimono I am making for art. It is made from white and blue cotton but is only hand sewn. I made the pattern pieces myself fom references and made it to fit my manikin, Manfred (Manny).
The real one will alsobe made on white cotton but i will dye parts of it and the obi (belt) and collar will be pink satin material. It will be sewn on a machine. Technically sspeaking, this is a Yukata (an informal summer kimono) but I am using the more popular word for what we call it. Thanks. |
